Setup & Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Clean measuring cup
  • Fresh water
  • Keurig® descaling solution
  • Soft cloth
  • Paper clip (for needle cleaning)

Step-by-Step Initial Setup

  1. Unpack and Place: Remove all packaging materials. Place brewer on a flat, stable surface away from heat sources and water splashes.
  2. Water Reservoir: Lift and remove water reservoir. Fill with fresh, cold water up to maximum fill line. Reinstall reservoir.
  3. Power Connection: Plug power cord into a grounded 120V outlet. Press power button to turn on.
  4. Initial Rinse: Place a large mug (12oz or more) on drip tray. Lift and close handle without K-Cup pod. Press brew button to run water through system.
  5. Prime System: Repeat rinse cycle 2-3 times until reservoir is empty to prime the brewing system.
  6. First Brew: Refill reservoir. Insert K-Cup pod, select cup size, and press brew button for your first beverage.
  7. Descaling Setup: Program descaling reminder for every 3-6 months based on water hardness and usage frequency.
Warning: Never use distilled, softened, or carbonated water. Only use fresh, cold tap or filtered water to prevent mineral buildup.

Troubleshooting

Common Error Messages

  • Add Water: Reservoir is empty or not properly seated - Refill and reseat reservoir

  • Prime: Air in water line - Run brew cycle without K-Cup pod until water flows steadily
  • Overheat: Brewer needs to cool down - Unplug for 15 minutes, then restart
  • Not Ready: Brewer still heating - Wait for ready light to illuminate
  • Clogged: Exit needle blocked - Turn off, unplug, and clean exit needle with paper clip
