Unpacking & Setup

Remove all packaging materials and inspect contents.

  1. Place brewer on stable, level surface away from edges.
  2. Remove water reservoir, fill with fresh cold water, and reattach.
  3. Plug power cord into grounded 120V outlet.
  4. Prime the brewer: Lift and close handle without a pod, place mug, select largest cup size to run water through system.

WARNING! Do not use without water. Ensure drip tray is in place before brewing.

First-Time Use

Power on brewer; display will illuminate.

  1. Set time: Touch clock icon, use arrows to set current time.
  2. Set auto-off: Go to settings menu, select auto-off duration (off, 30 min, 1 hr, 2 hrs).
  3. Brew first cup: Insert K-Cup pod, close handle, select cup size, touch brew button.

Brewing Coffee

Brewing with K-Cup pods.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and ready (green light).
  2. Lift handle, insert K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  3. Place mug on drip tray (minimum 5 oz capacity).
  4. Select cup size: Touch 6, 8, or 10 oz button.
  5. For stronger coffee: Touch STRONG button before brewing.
  6. Touch BREW button; brewing begins immediately.
  7. Remove mug when brewing completes.

Tip: Preheat mug with hot water for hotter coffee.

Customizing Your Brew

Adjust settings via touch display menu.

  1. Strong Brew: Activates for all cups until turned off.
  2. Auto-Off: Set to 30 min, 1 hr, 2 hrs, or off.
  3. Programmable Brew: Set clock, then program auto-brew time (requires pod pre-loaded).
  4. Hot Water: Dispense hot water without pod for tea, cocoa, etc.
  5. Cup Size Default: Set preferred default cup size.

Note: Strong brew uses more water for same cup size.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. External cleaning: Unplug, wipe with damp cloth. Do not immerse.
  2. Drip tray & reservoir: Remove and wash with warm soapy water weekly.
  3. Pod holder: Remove and rinse to clear coffee grounds.
  4. Exit needle: Use paper clip to clear clogs (unplug first).
  5. Descale: When indicator lights, follow descaling procedure.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never use sharp objects on internal parts.

Descaling

Required every 3-6 months depending on water hardness.

  1. Purchase Keurig descaling solution or approved alternative.
  2. Fill reservoir with descaling solution and water (50/50 mix).
  3. Place large container (at least 40 oz) on drip tray.
  4. From menu, select Descaling mode and follow on-screen prompts.
  5. Rinse by brewing multiple reservoirs of fresh water until taste is gone.
