Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place brewer on a stable, level surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials from inside and outside brewer.
  2. Wash water reservoir and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert charcoal water filter into reservoir (soak filter first per instructions).
  4. Fill reservoir with fresh cold water and place on back of brewer.
  5. Plug power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not use without water. Ensure brewer is unplugged during cleaning of external parts.

First-Time Use

Power on brewer; prime the system before first brew.

  1. Press POWER button. LCD will light up and display "Add Water" if reservoir is empty.
  2. Lift and lower brew handle without a K-Cup® pod to open and close needle.
  3. Place a large mug (12 oz or more) on drip tray.
  4. Select largest brew size (10 oz) and press BREW. Brewer will run water through system without a pod. Discard this water.
  5. Repeat priming cycle once more. Brewer is now ready for use.

CAUTION! Water and brewed beverage will be hot. Keep hands clear during brew cycle.

Controls and Settings

Access functions via front panel buttons and LCD display.

Front Panel: POWER, BREW, 6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz brew size buttons.

LCD Messages: "Ready", "Heating", "Brewing", "Add Water", "Descale".

Programming Brew Size: Press and hold desired brew size button (6, 8, 10 oz) for 3 seconds until LCD confirms. This sets it as default.

Auto-Off: Enabled by default (90 seconds). To disable: Press and hold POWER for 3 seconds on startup. Repeat to re-enable.

Brewing Beverages

Brew coffee, tea, hot cocoa, or other beverages using K-Cup® pods.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and "Ready" is displayed. Place mug on drip tray.
  2. Lift brew handle. Place a K-Cup® pod in pod holder. Close handle firmly.
  3. Select brew size by pressing 6 oz, 8 oz, or 10 oz button. LCD will show selection.
  4. Press BREW button. Brewing begins; progress shown on LCD.
  5. When cycle completes, lift handle to eject used pod into storage drawer.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use smaller brew size with same pod. Preheat mug with hot water for optimal temperature.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste.

CAUTION! Never immerse brewer base, cord, or plug in water. Unplug before cleaning.

Descaling Procedure

Descale when "Descale" alert appears or every 3-6 months to remove mineral buildup.

  1. Fill reservoir with 48 oz white vinegar or Keurig Descaling Solution.
  2. Place large mug on drip tray. Lift and lower handle (no pod).
  3. Press POWER, then press and hold 10 oz and 8 oz buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter descale mode.
  4. Press BREW to start cycle. Half the solution will brew into mug. Discard.
  5. Wait 30 minutes, then discard remaining solution from reservoir.
  6. Rinse reservoir thoroughly. Fill with fresh water and run multiple brew cycles (no pod) until vinegar smell is gone.

WARNING! Use only approved descaling solutions. Rinse thoroughly to avoid vinegar taste.

Troubleshooting
