Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, level surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials from brewer and components.
  2. Wash removable water reservoir with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Place drip tray in position; ensure it is securely seated.
  4. Plug power cord into 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not immerse brewer in water or other liquids. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewing system before first brew.

  1. Fill water reservoir with fresh, cold water; place back on brewer.
  2. Press POWER button to turn on; brewer will heat (approx. 3 minutes).
  3. Without a K-Cup pod, place a mug on drip tray and press BREW button to run water through system.
  4. Repeat process 2-3 times to flush system.
  5. Brewer is now ready for use with K-Cup pods.

CAUTION! Use only cold, fresh water. Do not use distilled or sparkling water.

Controls and Settings

Control Panel: POWER button, BREW button, BREW SIZE button, DESCALING indicator light.

Operation: Press POWER to turn on (blue light). Select brew size with BREW SIZE button (indicator lights show selection). Insert K-Cup pod, place mug, press BREW to start cycle.

Settings: Brew size memory remembers last selection. Auto-off activates after 2 hours of inactivity. Descaling alert light illuminates when maintenance required.

Brewing Coffee

Follow steps for optimal brewing.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and heated (blue power light on).
  2. Lift handle, insert K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  3. Place mug (up to 7.2") on drip tray.
  4. Press BREW SIZE to select desired size (6, 8, or 10 oz).
  5. Press BREW button; brewing begins immediately.
  6. When cycle completes, lift handle to eject used pod.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use smaller brew size or select "Strong Brew" K-Cup pods.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Unplug brewer before cleaning.
  2. Wash water reservoir, lid, and drip tray with warm, soapy water weekly.
  3. Wipe exterior with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Clean needle: Turn off, unplug, lift handle, use paperclip to clear any blockage in top and bottom needles.
  5. Descale every 3-6 months or when indicator light comes on.

CAUTION! Never immerse brewer base, cord, or plug in water.

Descaling Procedure

Required to remove mineral buildup.

  1. Fill reservoir with 16 oz white vinegar and 16 oz water.
  2. Place large mug (at least 20 oz) on drip tray.
  3. Press POWER, then BREW button without K-Cup pod.
  4. When reservoir is half empty, add 16 oz fresh water.
  5. Repeat brewing until "Add Water" light comes on.
  6. Rinse reservoir thoroughly, fill with fresh water.
  7. Brew multiple cycles with fresh water only to rinse.
  8. Descale light will turn off after procedure.

WARNING! Use only Keurig descaling solution or white vinegar. Rinse thoroughly.
