Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on clean, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove packaging materials from water reservoir and brewer.
  2. Fill reservoir with fresh cold water, reattach firmly to brewer.
  3. Plug power cord into 120V AC outlet.
  4. Place mug on drip tray.
  5. Prime the brewer before first use (see First-Time Use).

WARNING! Do not use without water. Ensure brewer is on stable surface away from heat sources.

First-Time Use

Power on brewer; follow priming procedure.

  1. Press POWER button to turn on; display will illuminate.
  2. Lift and close handle without K-Cup to initiate priming.
  3. Select largest cup size (10 oz) and press brew button.
  4. Repeat brewing cycle 3 times with fresh water (no pod) to flush system.
  5. Set time: Press MENU, use arrows to set clock.
  6. Program auto on/off: Press MENU, select AUTO ON/OFF, set desired times.

CAUTION! Water may be hot during priming. Keep hands clear of outlet.

Controls and Settings

Access settings via MENU button on control panel. Front Panel: POWER, BREW, STRENGTH, MENU, arrow buttons.

Display Icons: Clock, Auto On, Auto Off, Descaling alert, Brew size indicators.

Brew Size: Press BREW button repeatedly to cycle through sizes (6, 8, 10 oz). Strength Control: Press STRENGTH for stronger brew (increases temperature and time). Menu Settings: Clock set, Auto on/off programming, Display brightness (High/Low), Energy saver on/off, Factory reset.

Brewing Coffee

Brews single servings using K-Cup pods.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and water reservoir filled.
  2. Lift handle, insert K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  3. Place mug on drip tray.
  4. Select brew size (6, 8, or 10 oz) using BREW button.
  5. Press STRENGTH if desired for bolder coffee.
  6. Press BREW button to start cycle.
  7. Brewing completes automatically; discard used pod.

Tip: Preheat mug with hot water for hotter coffee. Use fresh cold water for best taste.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth; empty drip tray and used pod holder.
  2. Weekly: Remove and rinse water reservoir; clean needle with paperclip (unplug first).
  3. Monthly: Run vinegar solution through brew cycle (see Descaling).
  4. As needed: Clean removable parts with mild soap and water.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse brewer in water.

Descaling Procedure

Required when DESCALE light illuminates (approx. every 3-6 months).

  1. Fill reservoir with 16 oz white vinegar and 16 oz water.
  2. Place large mug on drip tray.
  3. Press BREW button without K-Cup; repeat until reservoir empty.
  4. Let solution sit in brewer 30 minutes.
  5. Refill reservoir with fresh water; brew multiple cycles to rinse.
  6. Repeat rinse until vinegar smell disappears.

CAUTION! Vinegar solution is acidic; avoid contact with skin/eyes. Rinse thoroughly.
