Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, level surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials from brewer and reservoir.
  2. Wash removable parts: Reservoir and drip tray with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Fill reservoir with fresh cold water; insert into brewer until it clicks.
  4. Plug power cord into 120V AC outlet.
  5. Prime the brewing system (see First-Time Use).

WARNING! Do not use without water. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

First-Time Use

Power on brewer; follow priming procedure.

  1. Press POWER button; "Add Water" light may illuminate.
  2. Lift and close brewer handle (without K-Cup®) to run water through system.
  3. Place mug on drip tray; press BREW button to cycle water through.
  4. Repeat 2-3 times until reservoir is empty to flush manufacturing residues.
  5. Refill reservoir; brewer is ready for first brew.

CAUTION! Water will be hot during priming. Keep hands clear of exit needle.

Controls and Settings

Control Panel: POWER button, BREW button, Brew Size buttons (6/8/10 oz), Add Water indicator, Brewing light, Descale indicator.

Programming Auto On/Off: Press and hold 6 oz button for 3 seconds; use 8/10 oz buttons to set hour; press BREW to confirm.

Brew Size Selection: Press desired size button before brewing. Energy Saver: Enabled by default (brewer turns off after 2 hours idle).

Brewing Process

Brews single cup using K-Cup® pods.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and reservoir filled.
  2. Lift handle; insert K-Cup® pod into holder.
  3. Close handle firmly; place mug on drip tray.
  4. Select brew size (6/8/10 oz); press BREW.
  5. Brewing completes in under 1 minute.
  6. Lift handle to eject used pod into storage drawer.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use smaller brew size or "Extra Bold" pods.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth. Weekly: Clean water reservoir and drip tray.

  1. Unplug brewer and allow to cool.
  2. Remove reservoir and drip tray; wash with mild detergent.
  3. Clean exit needle: Use paper clip to clear clog (brewer off, handle open).
  4. Wipe brewing chamber with damp cloth.
  5. Dry all parts before reassembly.

CAUTION! Never immerse brewer base in water. Use only approved cleaners.

Descaling Procedure

Required when descale light illuminates (approx. every 3-6 months).

  1. Fill reservoir with 48 oz white vinegar or Keurig descaling solution.
  2. Place large mug on drip tray; run brew cycles without K-Cup® until reservoir empty.
  3. Let solution sit in brewer for 30 minutes.
  4. Refill with fresh water; run multiple brew cycles to rinse.
  5. Repeat rinse until vinegar odor is gone.

WARNING! Descaling solution is acidic; avoid contact with skin/eyes.

Troubleshooting
