Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, level, stable surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the brewer.
  2. Wash water reservoir and lid with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert water filter (optional): Soak filter for 5 minutes, rinse, insert into holder.
  4. Fill reservoir with fresh cold water and place on brewer.
  5. Plug power cord into 120V outlet.

WARNING! Do not use without water. Ensure brewer is on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from edges.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewing system before first brew.

  1. Power on: Press POWER button; display will illuminate.
  2. Prime: Without a K-Cup pod, place a mug, select largest brew size (12oz), and start brew. Repeat until water flows steadily.
  3. Set clock: Use MENU button to access clock setting; adjust with + and - buttons.
  4. Program auto on: Set desired wake-up time for automatic brewing.
  5. Brew first cup: Insert K-Cup pod, select brew size, press BREW.

CAUTION! Water and brewed beverage will be hot. Keep hands and face away during brew cycle.

Brew Size Programming: Hold desired brew size button for 3 seconds during brew to reprogram volume.

Brewing Coffee

Brews one cup at a time using K-Cup pods.

  1. Ensure water reservoir is filled.
  2. Lift handle, insert K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  3. Place mug on drip tray.
  4. Select brew size (4oz to 12oz). For stronger coffee, press STRONG before brewing.
  5. Press BREW button; brewing begins immediately.
  6. When brew is complete, lift handle to eject used pod.

Tip: Preheat mug by running a water-only brew cycle for hotter coffee.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth; empty drip tray and used pod holder.
  2. Weekly: Remove and wash water reservoir, lid, and drip tray in warm, soapy water.
  3. Monthly: Clean needle that pierces K-Cup: Turn off, unplug, use paper clip to clear blockage.
  4. Water Filter: Replace every 2 months or after 60 tank refills.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never immerse brewer in water or use abrasive cleaners.

Descaling Procedure

Descale when indicator light appears or every 3-6 months.

  1. Fill reservoir with 16 oz white vinegar and 16 oz water.
  2. Place large mug (at least 20 oz) on drip tray.
  3. Press and hold 8oz and 12oz buttons for 3 seconds to enter descale mode.
  4. Press BREW; repeat until ADD WATER appears.
  5. Empty mug, rinse reservoir, fill with fresh water.
  6. Press BREW to rinse; repeat until vinegar odor is gone.
  7. Exit descale mode by pressing POWER.

WARNING! Use only Keurig descaling solution or white vinegar. Do not use other chemicals.
