Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, level surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials from brewer and components.
  2. Place brewer on stable, level counter away from heat sources.
  3. Remove water reservoir, fill with fresh cold water, and reattach.
  4. Plug power cord into grounded 120V outlet.
  5. Prime the brewing system before first use (see First-Time Use).

WARNING! Ensure brewer is unplugged during setup. Keep away from water sources to prevent electrical shock.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewing system before first brew.

  1. Fill water reservoir with fresh cold water to MAX line.
  2. Plug in brewer and press POWER button to turn on.
  3. Lift and close brew handle without inserting K-Cup pod.
  4. Place mug on drip tray and press 10oz brew button.
  5. Allow water to run through completely (repeat 2-3 times).
  6. Brewer is now ready for use with K-Cup pods.

CAUTION! Do not use without priming. First few brews may contain manufacturing residues.

Controls and Settings

Front panel controls: POWER button, Brew size buttons (6oz, 8oz, 10oz).

Display Indicators: Power On, Heating, Ready to Brew, Add Water, Descaling Alert.

Operation: Press POWER to turn on (heating begins). When READY light illuminates, brewer is heated. Select brew size. Lift handle, insert K-Cup, close handle, place mug, press brew button.

Settings: Auto-off cannot be disabled. Brew temperature is factory set and not adjustable.

Brewing Coffee

Brewing with K-Cup pods.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and READY light is illuminated.
  2. Lift brew handle fully.
  3. Insert K-Cup pod into K-Cup holder.
  4. Close brew handle firmly.
  5. Place mug (up to 7.2" tall) on drip tray.
  6. Press desired brew size button (6oz, 8oz, 10oz).
  7. Brewing begins immediately; completes in under 1 minute.
  8. Lift handle to remove used K-Cup pod after brewing.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use 6oz setting with any K-Cup pod. Do not reuse K-Cup pods.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth. Empty drip tray and used pod holder.
  2. Weekly: Remove and wash water reservoir in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Monthly: Clean brew needle with paper clip (unplug brewer first).
  4. As needed: Descale when ADD WATER light flashes (see Descaling Procedure).

CAUTION! Unplug brewer before cleaning. Never immerse brewer in water.

Descaling Procedure

Descale every 3-6 months or when ADD WATER light flashes.

  1. Purchase Keurig Descaling Solution or white vinegar.
  2. Fill water reservoir with 16 oz descaling solution and 16 oz water.
  3. Place large mug (at least 20 oz) on drip tray.
  4. Press POWER, then press and hold 8oz and 10oz buttons for 3 seconds.
  5. Press 10oz brew button repeatedly until reservoir is empty.
  6. Let solution sit in brewer for 30 minutes.
  7. Rinse reservoir, fill with fresh water, and run multiple brew cycles to flush.
  8. Repeat rinse cycles until vinegar odor is gone.

WARNING! Use only Keurig Descaling Solution or white vinegar. Do not use other cleaners.
