Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place brewer on a flat, stable surface away from heat sources.

  1. Remove packaging materials from inside and outside brewer.
  2. Wash water reservoir with warm, soapy water; rinse thoroughly.
  3. Fill reservoir with fresh water and place on back of brewer.
  4. Plug power cord into a 120V AC outlet.
  5. Place drip tray and a mug on it.

WARNING! Do not use without water. Ensure brewer is on a level surface.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewing system before first brew.

  1. Press POWER button to turn on brewer; display will light up.
  2. Lift and close handle without a K-Cup to run water through system.
  3. Place a mug on drip tray; select largest cup size (10 oz).
  4. Press BREW button to dispense hot water; repeat 2-3 times.
  5. Brewer is now ready for use with K-Cup pods.

CAUTION! Water will be hot. Keep hands clear during priming.

Front Panel: POWER button, BREW button, 6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz buttons, LCD display.

LCD Indicators: READY (green), HEATING (red), ADD WATER (flashing), DESCALING (flashing).

Brew Size Selection: Press 6, 8, or 10 oz button before brewing. Auto Off: Enabled by default; press POWER to turn off manually. Descaling Alert: Flashing DESCALING indicator when mineral buildup detected.

Brewing Coffee

Use only genuine K-Cup pods.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and READY light is green.
  2. Lift handle and insert K-Cup pod into holder.
  3. Close handle firmly.
  4. Place mug on drip tray (remove drip tray for taller mugs).
  5. Select cup size (6, 8, or 10 oz).
  6. Press BREW button; brewing completes in under 1 minute.
  7. Lift handle to eject used pod into disposal bin.

Tip: For stronger coffee, select smaller cup size.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Unplug brewer before cleaning.
  2. Wash water reservoir, drip tray, and K-Cup holder with warm, soapy water weekly.
  3. Wipe exterior with damp cloth; do not immerse in water.
  4. Clean needle that punctures K-Cup with paper clip if clogged.
  5. Replace water filter (if equipped) every 2 months.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Descaling Procedure

Descale every 3-6 months or when DESCALING light flashes.

  1. Fill reservoir with 16 oz white vinegar and 16 oz water.
  2. Place large mug on drip tray.
  3. Press and hold 10 oz and 8 oz buttons for 3 seconds to enter descale mode.
  4. Press BREW to start descaling cycle; repeat until ADD WATER light comes on.
  5. Empty reservoir, rinse thoroughly, and refill with fresh water.
  6. Run multiple brew cycles with fresh water to rinse vinegar residue.

WARNING! Use only vinegar or Keurig descaling solution; follow instructions carefully.
