WARNING! Do not use the brewer without water. Do not immerse the brewer base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.

Tip: Use filtered water for better tasting coffee and to reduce mineral scale buildup.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with a damp cloth. Empty and rinse the drip tray and drip tray cover.
  2. Weekly: Remove and wash the water reservoir and lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Monthly: Clean the K-Cup Holder Assembly. Remove it by lifting the handle and pulling the holder straight out. Wash with warm, soapy water. Use a paperclip to clear any pod residue from the exit needle.
  4. As Needed: Descale when the indicator light appears on the display.

WARNING! Unplug the brewer before cleaning any part. Never use sharp objects to clean needles.

Descaling Procedure

Descaling removes mineral buildup. Use only Keurig Descaling Solution or a vinegar-water mixture.

  1. Ensure the brewer is on and the water reservoir is filled with fresh water.
  2. Pour the entire bottle of Keurig Descaling Solution into the water reservoir.
  3. From the Settings Menu on the touch display, select "Descale" and follow the on-screen prompts.
  4. The brewer will run multiple water-only rinse cycles after the descaling solution. You may need to refill the reservoir with fresh water when prompted.
  5. The process is complete when the descale indicator turns off.

CAUTION! Do not interrupt the descaling cycle. Ensure the drip tray and a large container are in place to catch liquid.
