Unpacking & Setup

Remove all packaging materials and inspect contents. Place on a clean, stable, level surface near a power outlet.

  1. Remove Reservoir: Lift the water reservoir off the brewer.
  2. Fill Reservoir: Fill with fresh, cold water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
  3. Replace Reservoir: Slide reservoir back onto the brewer until it clicks into place.
  4. Plug In: Connect the power cord to a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not use the brewer without water in the reservoir. Ensure the drip tray is in place before use.

First-Time Use

Power on the brewer; the display will light up. Follow these steps to prime the system.

  1. Prime the System: Place a large mug (at least 10oz) on the drip tray. Lift and close the handle without a K-Cup pod. Press the BREW button to run water through the system. Discard this water.
  2. Brew Your First Cup: Lift the handle, insert a K-Cup pod, close the handle, select your brew size, and press BREW.
  3. Set Preferences: Use the STRENGTH and TEMP buttons to customize your brew.

CAUTION! The water and brewed beverage will be hot. Keep hands and face away during the brew cycle.

Controls and Settings

Access all functions via the control panel. Power: Press to turn brewer on/off. Display: Shows selected brew size, strength, temperature, and status messages.

Buttons: BREW (starts cycle), STRENGTH (toggles between STRONG and MILD), TEMP (cycles through temperature settings 1-5), 4oz, 6oz, 8oz, 10oz, 12oz (brew size selection).

Settings: Strength (STRONG for bold flavor, MILD for lighter taste). Temperature (5 settings from 187°F to 192°F). Auto-Off (enabled by default, turns off after 2 hours). Display Brightness (cannot be adjusted).

Brewing Coffee

Brews single servings using K-Cup pods.

  1. Power On: Press POWER button. Wait for READY message on display.
  2. Place Mug: Put a mug on the drip tray.
  3. Insert Pod: Lift handle, place a K-Cup pod in the pod holder, close handle firmly.
  4. Select Size: Press desired brew size button (4oz, 6oz, 8oz, 10oz, 12oz).
  5. Start Brew: Press the large BREW button. The display will show BREWING.
  6. Completion: Brewer will stop automatically. Lift handle to eject the used pod.

Tip: For best results, use filtered water and run a cleansing brew weekly.

Customizing Your Brew

Adjust strength and temperature before pressing BREW.

  1. Strength: Press STRENGTH button to toggle between STRONG (bold) and MILD (lighter) extraction.
  2. Temperature: Press TEMP button to cycle through 5 temperature settings (1 is coolest, 5 is hottest).
  3. Brew Size: Select any size from 4oz to 12oz. The STRONG setting is optimized for 8oz and 10oz brews.

Note: Custom settings are saved for your next brew but reset after a power cycle.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug brewer and allow to cool before cleaning. Exterior: Wipe with a damp, soft cloth. Do not immerse in water.

Drip Tray & Cover: Remove, rinse with warm soapy water, dry, and replace.

Water Reservoir: Remove, wash with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and dry before replacing.

Brew Chamber: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not insert objects into the needles.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals.

Descaling

The DESCALE light will illuminate when mineral buildup requires removal. Use only Keurig Descaling Solution or approved vinegar solution.

  1. Prepare: Empty water reservoir. Fill with descaling solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water as per manual instructions.
  2. Initiate Descaling: Place a large mug, press and hold 8oz and 10oz buttons for 3 seconds until DESCALE flashes.
  3. Run Solution: Press BREW button repeatedly to run all solution through the system. Discard liquid.
  4. Rinse: Refill reservoir with fresh water and run multiple brew cycles (without a pod) to rinse thoroughly.

WARNING! Descaling is essential for performance. Failure to descale can damage the brewer.

Troubleshooting
