Unpacking & Setup

Remove all packaging materials. Place brewer on a stable, level, and dry surface.

  1. Remove Reservoir: Lift the 46oz water reservoir from the brewer.
  2. Fill Reservoir: Add fresh, cold water. Do not exceed MAX fill line.
  3. Replace Reservoir: Slide reservoir back into place until it clicks.
  4. Plug In: Connect power cord to a 120V AC outlet.
  5. Place Cup: Position a mug (min. 5oz) on the drip tray.

WARNING! Do not use without water. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewing system before first brew.

  1. Power On: Press the POWER button. The button will illuminate.
  2. Wait for Ready: The brewer will heat. The POWER light turns solid when ready (approx. 1 minute).
  3. Prime System: Without a K-Cup pod, lift and close the handle. Select the 12oz brew size. Run 3 full reservoirs of water through the brewer into a mug, then discard.
  4. Insert Pod: Lift handle, place a K-Cup pod in the holder, close handle firmly.
  5. Select Size: Press 8oz, 10oz, or 12oz button to begin brewing.

CAUTION! Water will be hot. Do not touch during priming or brewing cycles.

Controls and Indicators

Control Panel: POWER button (illuminated), 8oz, 10oz, 12oz brew buttons, STRONG button, Descale Indicator light.

Operation: POWER light flashes during heating, solid when ready. Select brew size after inserting pod. STRONG light illuminates when active for bolder coffee. Descale light flashes red when maintenance is required.

Energy Saver: Automatically powers off 90 seconds after last brew. Press POWER to wake.

Brewing Coffee

Brews single servings using K-Cup pods.

  1. Power On: Ensure POWER light is solid.
  2. Fill Reservoir: Check water level.
  3. Place Mug: Use a mug holding at least 5oz.
  4. Insert Pod: Lift handle, place K-Cup, close firmly.
  5. Select Brew Size: Press 8oz, 10oz, or 12oz.
  6. Optional Strong Brew: Press STRONG button before selecting size for bolder flavor.
  7. Brewing Starts: Coffee dispenses into mug. Cycle completes automatically.
  8. Remove Pod: Lift handle after brewing to eject used pod into holder.

Tip: For hot water, run a cycle without a pod. Do not use for soups or other liquids.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste.

  1. External Cleaning: Unplug brewer. Wipe exterior with damp, soft cloth. Do not immerse.
  2. Drip Tray & Pod Holder: Remove drip tray and pod holder assembly. Wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry before replacing.
  3. Water Reservoir: Remove and wash with mild detergent weekly. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Needle Cleaning: Unplug brewer. Use a paperclip to gently clear any pod debris from the exit needle (small hole in pod holder).

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Descaling

Descale every 3-6 months or when DESCALE light flashes. Use Keurig Descaling Solution or white vinegar.

  1. Fill Reservoir: Mix descaling solution with water or use 46oz of white vinegar.
  2. Start Descaling: Place a large mug (at least 20oz) on drip tray. Without a pod, press 12oz button 5 times in 5 seconds. All lights will flash.
  3. Run Solution: Press 12oz button to start cycle. Repeat until ADD WATER light comes on.
  4. Rinse: Empty reservoir, fill with fresh water. Run multiple 12oz water cycles (at least 12) until vinegar/solution smell is gone.

WARNING! Descaling solution/vinegar is not for consumption. Rinse thoroughly.

Troubleshooting
