Unpacking & Setup

Remove all packaging materials and inspect contents.

  1. Place brewer: Position on flat, stable surface away from edges.
  2. Remove reservoir: Take off water reservoir and rinse with fresh water.
  3. Fill reservoir: Add fresh cold water up to MAX fill line.
  4. Plug in: Connect power cord to outlet (120V AC).
  5. Prime brewer: Follow first-time use instructions.

WARNING! Do not use without water. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewing system before first brew.

  1. Power on: Press POWER button; lights will illuminate.
  2. Fill reservoir: Ensure reservoir is filled with fresh water.
  3. Prime: Without a K-Cup pod, place a mug on drip tray and press 12oz brew button. Repeat 3 times.
  4. Insert pod: Lift handle, insert K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  5. Select size: Choose 8oz, 10oz, or 12oz brew size.
  6. Brew: Press corresponding button; brewing begins.

CAUTION! Water will be hot. Keep hands clear during brew cycle.

Brewing Coffee

Steps for brewing a single cup.

  1. Ensure brewer is on (POWER light on).
  2. Fill reservoir with fresh cold water.
  3. Place mug on drip tray (remove drip tray for taller travel mugs).
  4. Lift handle, insert K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  5. Press desired brew size button (8oz, 10oz, 12oz).
  6. Brewing begins; cycle completes in under 2 minutes.
  7. Remove mug; brewer is ready for next cup.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use 8oz setting with 10oz or 12oz pod.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth; do not immerse in water.
  2. Drip tray & reservoir: Remove and wash with warm, soapy water weekly.
  3. Brew chamber: Wipe with damp cloth; check for pod residue.
  4. Descale: When indicator light turns on, follow descaling procedure.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Descaling

Required periodically to remove mineral deposits.

  1. Purchase Keurig Descaling Solution or approved alternative.
  2. Fill reservoir with descaling solution and water (follow solution instructions).
  3. Place large mug or container on drip tray.
  4. Press POWER, then press 12oz brew button repeatedly until reservoir is empty.
  5. Wait 30 minutes, then rinse reservoir thoroughly.
  6. Refill with fresh water and run multiple brew cycles (without pod) to rinse.
  7. Descale indicator light will turn off when complete.
