Brewing Iced Coffee

  1. Fill a glass or tumbler (16 oz or larger) with ice to the top.
  2. Press POWER to turn brewer on.
  3. Insert an iced coffee or regular K-Cup pod and close the handle.
  4. Place the ice-filled glass on the drip tray (adjust tray height if needed).
  5. Press the ICED button (light will illuminate). The brewer defaults to the optimal brew size for iced drinks.
  6. Press the illuminated brew button. The brewer will dispense the concentrated brew over the ice.
  7. Stir and enjoy. Add milk or sweetener as desired.

WARNING! Do not brew directly into an empty glass and then add ice, as this will result in a weak, watered-down drink. Always brew over ice using the ICED setting.

Maintenance & Descaling

Regular descaling is essential for performance and longevity. The red DESCALING light will indicate when needed (approx. every 3-6 months).

  1. Purchase Keurig Descaling Solution or a vinegar solution (white vinegar is not recommended by Keurig).
  2. Empty and rinse the water reservoir. Fill it with 16 oz of descaling solution and 16 oz of water.
  3. Place a large mug (at least 20 oz) on the drip tray.
  4. With the brewer on, lift and close the handle WITHOUT a K-Cup pod.
  5. Press the 12 oz brew button. Let the solution dispense halfway, then pause for 30 minutes.
  6. After the pause, continue dispensing until the reservoir is empty. Discard the liquid.
  7. Rinse the reservoir thoroughly and fill with fresh water. Run multiple water-only brew cycles (at least 12) until the reservoir is empty to rinse the system.
  8. The descale light will turn off after the process is complete.
