Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, stable, level surface near a power outlet.
WARNING! Ensure the brewer is on a stable, level surface away from heat sources and sinks. Do not immerse the brewer, cord, or plug in water.
Prime the brewing system before first use.
CAUTION! Use only fresh, cold water in the reservoir. Do not use distilled, sparkling, or previously boiled water.
Control Panel: POWER button, 6/8/10/12 oz brew size buttons, STRONG button, ICED button.
Operation: Press POWER to turn on (blue light). Select brew size (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz). For a bolder cup, press STRONG before brewing (light will illuminate). For iced beverages, press ICED before brewing (light will illuminate). Place mug, insert K-Cup, close handle, and press the illuminated brew button to start.
Descale Indicator: A red light will illuminate when the brewer needs descaling. Follow the descaling procedure in the Maintenance section.
For optimal hot beverage preparation.
Tip: Preheat your mug by running a water-only brew cycle into it first for a hotter beverage.
The ICED setting brews a stronger, concentrated amount over ice to prevent dilution.
WARNING! Do not brew directly into an empty glass and then add ice, as this will result in a weak, watered-down drink. Always brew over ice using the ICED setting.
Regular descaling is essential for performance and longevity. The red DESCALING light will indicate when needed (approx. every 3-6 months).
Unplug the brewer before cleaning. Wipe exterior with a damp, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Drip Tray & K-Cup Pod Holder: Remove and wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before replacing.
Water Reservoir: Remove and wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse well. Clean the inlet needle on the bottom of the reservoir with a paper clip if clogged.
Brew Chamber: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not insert objects into the chamber.
CAUTION! Never immerse the brewer base, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
