Regular cleaning prevents mineral buildup and ensures great-tasting coffee.
Daily Cleaning:
1. Remove and rinse the drip tray and water reservoir.
2. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
3. Open the pod holder and wipe away any coffee grounds.
Descaling (Every 3-6 months):
1. Fill the reservoir with 12 oz of white vinegar or Keurig Descaling Solution.
2. Place a large mug on the drip tray.
3. Run a brew cycle (without a K-Cup) until the reservoir is empty. Discard the liquid.
4. Rinse thoroughly by running multiple cycles with fresh water until the vinegar smell is gone.
WARNING! Never immerse the base unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
Unplug the unit before cleaning. Store in a dry place.
Pod Holder Assembly: Periodically check for clogs. If coffee grounds accumulate, the holder can be rinsed under warm water. Let it dry completely before reinserting.
Needle Cleaning: If brew flow is slow, the inlet needle may be clogged. Use a paper clip to gently clear any blockage in the upper and lower needles. Ensure the machine is unplugged and cool.
CAUTION! The brew head contains sharp needles. Use extreme caution when cleaning.
