Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, level, stable surface near a power outlet and water source.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the brewer.
  2. Wash the water reservoir with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry.
  3. Fill the reservoir with fresh, cold water and place it securely on the back of the brewer.
  4. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not use the brewer without water in the reservoir. Ensure the brewer is on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from edges.

First-Time Use

Prime the system before first brew to ensure optimal performance.

  1. Press the Power button to turn the brewer on. The brewer will begin heating.
  2. Lift and close the handle (without a pod) to open and close the brew chamber.
  3. Place a large mug (at least 10 oz.) on the drip tray.
  4. Select the largest brew size (12 oz. for hot). Press the Brew button to run water through the system. Discard this water.
  5. Repeat this priming process 2-3 times with fresh water.

CAUTION! Water and brewed beverage will be hot. Avoid contact with steam and hot surfaces.

Controls and Settings

Control Panel: Power Button, Brew Size Selector, Brew Button, Strong Button.

Operation: Press Power to turn on (blue light). Select brew size with Brew Size Selector (lights indicate selection). Press Strong for more intense flavor (light turns on). Press Brew to start cycle. The brewer will automatically turn off after 2 hours of inactivity (Energy Saver).

Brew Size Programming: To set a favorite brew size for hot or iced, select the size and hold the Brew button for 3 seconds until light flashes. This size becomes the default for that mode (hot or iced).

Brewing Beverages

For hot coffee, tea, or cocoa.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and ready (blue power light steady).
  2. Lift handle, insert a K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  3. Place a mug on the drip tray.
  4. Select desired hot brew size (6, 8, 10, 12 oz.). Press Strong button if desired.
  5. Press Brew button. The brew cycle will begin and complete automatically.
  6. Carefully remove mug. Lift handle to eject and discard the used pod.

Tip: Preheat your mug by running a hot water brew cycle without a pod into it first.

Brewing Over Ice

Specifically designed for refreshing iced coffee or tea.

  1. Fill a glass or tumbler with ice to the fill line (or about halfway).
  2. Place the glass on the drip tray (remove drip tray if glass is too tall).
  3. Lift handle, insert an Iced Coffee or Iced Tea K-Cup pod (or any pod), close handle.
  4. Select an iced brew size (12 to 30 oz.). The brewer automatically adjusts the brew for optimal strength over ice.
  5. Press Brew button. The concentrated brew will flow over the ice, chilling and diluting it perfectly.
  6. Stir and enjoy. Eject and discard the used pod.

WARNING! Brewed liquid will be hot as it contacts the ice. Use a heat-resistant glass.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug brewer and allow to cool before cleaning.

Exterior: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.

Drip Tray & Reservoir: Remove and wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before replacing.

Brew Chamber: Wipe with a damp cloth. Periodically clean the exit needle with a paperclip if clogged (see manual).

CAUTION! Never use sharp objects to clean the pod holder entrance needle. Unplug before any cleaning.

Descaling

Mineral buildup from water affects performance. Descale every 3-6 months.

  1. Fill reservoir with 16 oz. of white vinegar and 16 oz. of water.
  2. Place a large mug on the drip tray.
  3. Press Power, then Brew (without a pod) to run half the solution through. Pause for 30 minutes.
  4. Run the remaining solution through. Discard all liquid from the mug.
  5. Rinse reservoir thoroughly. Fill with fresh water and run multiple brew cycles (without a pod) until vinegar smell is gone.

Note: Use Keurig Descaling Solution as an alternative to vinegar.

Troubleshooting
