Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on a clean, flat, stable surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the brewer.
  2. Wash the water reservoir and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Place the drip tray in position on the base.
  4. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water and reattach it to the brewer.
  5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the brewer is placed away from edges and heat sources. Keep cord away from hot surfaces.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewer before first use to ensure optimal performance.

  1. Press the POWER button to turn the brewer on. The power light will illuminate.
  2. Lift and close the brewer handle without inserting a K-Cup pod.
  3. Place a large mug (10 oz or larger) on the drip tray.
  4. Press the BREW button to start a cleansing brew. Discard this water.
  5. Repeat the cleansing brew process two more times.

CAUTION! The water and brewed beverage will be hot. Handle with care.

Controls and Settings

Control Panel: POWER button, BREW button, CUP SIZE button, DESCALING indicator light.

Operation: Press POWER to turn on. Select brew size with CUP SIZE button. Press BREW to start. The brewer will automatically heat water and begin brewing.

Brew Size Selection: Each press of the CUP SIZE button cycles through 6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz, and 12 oz. The selected size will be illuminated.

Descale Indicator: The DESCALE light will illuminate when mineral buildup requires cleaning. Follow the descaling procedure in section 9.

Brewing Coffee

Brews a single cup in under a minute.

  1. Ensure the brewer is on and the water reservoir is filled.
  2. Lift the handle to open the K-Cup pod holder.
  3. Insert a licensed K-Cup pod. Close the handle firmly.
  4. Place a mug on the drip tray.
  5. Press the CUP SIZE button to select your desired brew size.
  6. Press the BREW button. Brewing will begin immediately.
  7. When brewing is complete, lift the handle to remove the used pod.

Tip: For a stronger brew, select a smaller cup size. Preheat your mug with hot water for a hotter beverage.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures best performance and taste.

  1. External Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
  2. Drip Tray & Reservoir: Remove and wash weekly with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry before replacing.
  3. K-Cup Holder: Remove the pod holder assembly (if removable) and rinse to clear coffee grounds.
  4. Needle: If clogged, use a paperclip to gently clear the entry and exit needles. Unplug brewer first.

WARNING! Always unplug the brewer and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

Descaling

Required periodically to remove mineral scale buildup. Use Keurig Descaling Solution or white vinegar.

  1. Empty and rinse the water reservoir.
  2. Fill the reservoir with 16 oz of descaling solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water.
  3. Place a large mug on the drip tray.
  4. Press BREW repeatedly (without a K-Cup) to run the solution through the brewer until the reservoir is empty.
  5. Refill the reservoir with fresh water and repeat the brewing process to rinse thoroughly (2-3 times).
  6. The DESCALE light will turn off when the process is complete.

CAUTION! Do not use descaling agents other than those recommended by Keurig.

Care Instructions

Unplug when not in use for extended periods. Store in a dry place.

CAUTION! Do not use the brewer without water. Never immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.

Troubleshooting
