Initial Setup & Installation

Unpack and inspect all components. Place brewer on a stable, level, and dry surface away from heat sources and water splashes.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from brewer and water reservoir.
  2. Wash removable parts: Wash water reservoir and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Position brewer: Ensure at least 3 inches of clearance on all sides and above for ventilation.
  4. Fill water reservoir: Remove from brewer, fill with fresh cold water, and reattach securely.
  5. Plug into a dedicated 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not use without water. Do not immerse brewer, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.

First Use & Priming

Power on brewer; follow priming steps before first brew.

  1. Plug in brewer. The display will light up and show "ADD WATER" if reservoir is empty.
  2. Fill reservoir with fresh cold water to MAX fill line and reattach.
  3. Place a large mug (12 oz or more) on the drip tray.
  4. Lift and close the handle without inserting a K-Cup pod.
  5. Select the 12 oz brew size. Press brew button to start a water-only brew cycle. Repeat for 3 full reservoirs to prime the system.
  6. After priming, the brewer is ready for use. Set the clock using the MENU button.

CAUTION! Water dispensed during priming will be hot. Keep hands clear.

Controls and Settings

Access functions via the touch control panel and digital display.

Control Panel: POWER button, Brew Size buttons (4,6,8,10,12 oz), STRONG button, ICED button, MENU button, Hot Water button.

Display Icons: Clock, Auto On/Off, Descaling Alert, Brew in Progress, Add Water, Preheat.

Menu Settings: Press MENU to navigate and set: Clock Time, Auto On Time, Auto Off Time, Energy Saver (On/Off), Factory Reset.

Brewing: Select cup size. For stronger coffee, press STRONG before brewing. For iced coffee, press ICED (brews a stronger, smaller volume).

Brewing Coffee

Brews with any Keurig-approved K-Cup pod.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and preheated (display shows READY).
  2. Place mug on drip tray. Remove drip tray plate for taller travel mugs.
  3. Lift handle, insert K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  4. Select desired brew size (4,6,8,10,12 oz) on the control panel.
  5. For stronger coffee, press STRONG button (light will turn on).
  6. Press the illuminated brew button to start. Brewing completes in under a minute.
  7. After brewing, lift handle to eject used pod into pod holder.

Tip: For best results, use filtered water and rinse reservoir weekly.

Using the Strong Brew & Iced Settings

Strong Brew: Slows the brew cycle to increase contact time, extracting more flavor and caffeine. Press STRONG button before selecting brew size. STRONG icon will illuminate.

Iced Coffee: Brews a stronger, concentrated coffee over ice to prevent dilution.

  1. Fill a 16 oz cup with ice to the top.
  2. Place cup on drip tray.
  3. Insert K-Cup pod and close handle.
  4. Press ICED button (light turns on).
  5. Press the 8 oz or 10 oz brew button. The brewer will dispense a optimized volume for iced coffee.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste.

Daily: Wipe exterior with a damp, soft cloth. Empty and rinse drip tray and pod holder.

Weekly: Remove and wash water reservoir and lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. Wipe the needle in the K-Cup holder with a paperclip or needle cleaning tool (provided in some models) to clear coffee grounds.

Monthly: Run a water-only brew cycle (without a pod) to flush the system. Use a damp cloth to clean the exit needle.

CAUTION! Unplug brewer before cleaning. Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or immerse brewer in water.

Descaling Procedure

The DESCALE light will illuminate when mineral buildup requires removal. Use Keurig Descaling Solution or white vinegar.

  1. Empty water reservoir. Fill with 16 oz of descaling solution or a mixture of half white vinegar and half water.
  2. Place a large mug (at least 16 oz) on the drip tray.
  3. Power brewer on. Lift and close handle without a pod.
  4. Press MENU button repeatedly until "DESCALE" appears on display. Press brew button to start descale mode.
  5. Brew until reservoir is empty. Discard liquid in mug.
  6. Refill reservoir with fresh water. Repeat water-only brew cycles (at least 12 full reservoirs) until vinegar odor is gone.
  7. After final rinse, the descale light will turn off.

WARNING! Descaling solution/vinegar is not for consumption. Ensure thorough rinsing.
