Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, level, stable surface near a power outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the brewer.
  2. Wash the removable water reservoir and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Place the drip tray in position. Ensure it is fully seated.
  4. Insert the water reservoir into the back of the brewer until it clicks into place.
  5. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not use the brewer without water in the reservoir. Ensure the brewer is on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from edges.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewer before first use to ensure optimal performance.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the max fill line.
  2. Place a large mug (at least 12 oz) on the drip tray.
  3. Lift and close the brewer handle without inserting a K-Cup pod.
  4. Press the POWER button. The brewer will turn on and begin heating.
  5. Once the "Add Water" light turns off, select the 12 oz brew size. The brewer will run water through the system to prime it. Discard this water.
  6. Repeat the priming process once more with a fresh reservoir of water.
  7. Your brewer is now ready for use.

CAUTION! The exterior surfaces may become hot during use. Avoid contact with hot parts.

Controls and Settings

Control Panel: POWER button, Brew Size buttons (4, 6, 8, 10, 12 oz), STRONG button, ICED button, HOT WATER button.

Indicator Lights: Power On, Add Water, Descaling, Strong Brew Active, Iced Brew Active.

Settings: Programmable Auto-Off (2, 5, 10 min, or Off). To program: Press and hold the 8 oz and 10 oz buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds, then use the brew size buttons to select duration.

Strong Brew: Press the STRONG button before brewing for a bolder, hotter cup. Light will illuminate.

Iced Coffee: Press the ICED button before brewing. The brewer will adjust the cycle for optimal iced coffee.

Brewing Coffee

Brewing with a K-Cup pod is simple and fast.

  1. Ensure the brewer is powered on and the "Add Water" light is off.
  2. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water.
  3. Place a mug on the drip tray.
  4. Lift the handle to open the K-Cup pod holder.
  5. Insert your chosen K-Cup pod. The foil top should face up.
  6. Close the handle firmly.
  7. Select your desired brew size (4, 6, 8, 10, 12 oz). For a stronger cup, press the STRONG button first. For iced coffee, press the ICED button first.
  8. The brew will begin automatically. The progress bar will illuminate during brewing.
  9. When brewing is complete, lift the handle to eject the used K-Cup pod.

Tip: For best results, run a cleansing brew (without a pod) every few weeks.

Using Hot Water on Demand

Dispense hot water for tea, hot chocolate, or oatmeal.

  1. Ensure the brewer is on and heated.
  2. Place a heat-safe mug on the drip tray.
  3. Do NOT insert a K-Cup pod. Ensure the handle is closed.
  4. Press the HOT WATER button.
  5. Select your desired water volume (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz). The brewer will dispense near-boiling water.
  6. Caution: Water is extremely hot. Handle with care.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures great taste and longevity.

Daily: Wipe exterior with a damp cloth. Empty and rinse the drip tray and water reservoir.

Weekly: Remove the drip tray and reservoir. Wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. Wipe the needle in the K-Cup holder with a paper clip or needle cleaning tool (not included) to prevent clogs.

Monthly: Run a cleansing brew: Fill reservoir with fresh water, place a large mug, do not insert a pod, and run a 12 oz brew. Discard water. Repeat if needed.

CAUTION! Unplug the brewer before cleaning. Never immerse the brewer base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.

Descaling

Mineral buildup from water affects performance. The DESCALE light will illuminate when needed.

  1. Purchase Keurig Descaling Solution or a vinegar solution (1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water).
  2. Empty and rinse the water reservoir.
  3. Fill the reservoir with the descaling solution up to the max line.
  4. Place a large mug (at least 24 oz capacity) on the drip tray.
  5. Press POWER to turn the brewer on if off.
  6. Press and hold the 8 oz and 12 oz buttons for 3 seconds to enter descale mode. The DESCALE light will blink.
  7. Press the HOT WATER button to begin the descaling cycle. The brewer will dispense solution in pulses. Wait 30 minutes.
  8. After 30 minutes, discard the mug contents. Refill the reservoir with fresh water.
  9. Press the HOT WATER button repeatedly to rinse the system. Continue until the reservoir is empty. Refill and repeat 2-3 times to flush all solution.
  10. Exit descale mode by pressing the POWER button. The DESCALE light will turn off.

WARNING! Descaling solution is acidic. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Rinse thoroughly.

Troubleshooting
