Initial Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash removable parts: reservoir and drip tray with warm, soapy water.
  3. Fill reservoir with fresh water and place back on brewer.
  4. Plug into grounded 120V outlet.
  5. Prime the brewer: lift and close handle without a K-Cup pod, place mug, select largest brew size (12 oz.) and brew until reservoir is empty. Repeat 2-3 times.

WARNING! Do not use without priming. Ensure hands are dry when handling plug.

Brewing Your First Cup

After priming, brewer is ready for first beverage.

  1. Fill reservoir with desired amount of water.
  2. Lift handle, insert K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  3. Place mug on drip tray (remove tray for tall mugs).
  4. Select brew size (4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 oz.).
  5. Press brew button; brewing begins after preheating.
  6. For stronger coffee, press STRONG before brewing.
  7. For iced drinks, press ICED before brewing.

CAUTION! Hot surfaces; avoid contact during and after brewing.

LCD Display: Shows time, selected brew size, "Add Water," "Descale," and other alerts.

Settings Menu: Press Menu to access: Auto On/Off (set brew time), Clock set, Energy Saving mode (On/Off), Factory Reset.

Brewing Options: Default brew temperature is 192°F. STRONG increases temperature and brew time. ICED lowers temperature and adjusts brew cycle for iced beverages.

Using Advanced Features

Strong Brew: Press STRONG button before brewing for bolder coffee. Icon lights on display.

Iced Setting: Press ICED button before brewing for optimal iced coffee or tea. Brews a stronger concentration over ice.

Programmable Auto On/Off: Set brewer to turn on at specific time via Menu > Auto On. Auto shut-off occurs after 2 hours of inactivity.

Energy Saving Mode: Enable in Menu to reduce power consumption when idle.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth; empty drip tray and used pod holder.
  2. Weekly: Remove and wash water reservoir, drip tray, and pod holder in warm, soapy water.
  3. Monthly: Clean needle: unplug, lift handle, use paperclip to clear entrance and exit needles.
  4. Descaling: Perform when descale indicator lights (every 3-6 months).

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Do not immerse brewer in water.

Descaling

Descaling removes mineral buildup from internal components.

  1. Purchase Keurig Descaling Solution or approved white vinegar.
  2. Fill reservoir with 16 oz. descaling solution and 16 oz. water.
  3. Place large mug (at least 20 oz.) on drip tray.
  4. Press Menu, select Descale, follow on-screen prompts.
  5. Brew until "Add Water" appears.
  6. Rinse reservoir, fill with fresh water, and brew multiple cycles until solution taste is gone.

WARNING! Descaling solution is acidic; avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Troubleshooting
