Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, level, stable surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from brewer and carafe.
  2. Wash carafe and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Fill water reservoir with fresh cold water and place back into brewer.
  4. Plug power cord into a 120V AC outlet.
  5. Prime the brewer: Run a water-only brew cycle (without a K-Cup) to flush the system.

WARNING! Ensure brewer is unplugged during cleaning. Handle glass carafe with care to avoid breakage.

First-Time Use

Power on brewer; follow control panel prompts.

  1. Select Language: Press MENU to set display language (default ENGLISH).
  2. Set Clock: Use +/- buttons to set current time for programmable features.
  3. Prime System: Brew a full carafe of water to prepare the internal lines.
  4. Brew First Coffee: Insert a K-Cup or add ground coffee to filter for carafe brew.

CAUTION! Do not use without water in the reservoir. Keep hands away from brew head during brewing cycle.

Controls and Settings

Access menu via MENU button on control panel. Display shows time, settings, and alerts.

Buttons: POWER, MENU, STRENGTH, BREW OVER ICE, CARAFE, CUP (6,8,10,12oz), +/- for adjustment, PROGRAM for auto-brew.

Settings: Clock Set, Auto-Off (2hr default), Brew Temperature (default 192°F), Descaling Mode, Language (ENGLISH default). Strength Control: Adjusts brew time for bolder coffee (mild/strong). Programmable: Set time for carafe to auto-brew.

Brewing Options

Single-Serve (K-Cup): Place cup, lift handle, insert pod, close, select size, press BREW. Carafe (Ground Coffee): Add filter and grounds to basket, place carafe, select CARAFE and cup amount, press BREW.

  1. Ensure water reservoir is filled to desired level.
  2. For single-serve, place mug on drip tray.
  3. Select brew size and strength if desired.
  4. Press BREW button; brewing begins after preheating.
  5. For iced coffee, select BREW OVER ICE before brewing.

Tip: Use fresh, cold water for best taste. Regularly clean needle that pierces K-Cup.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth. Weekly: Wash carafe, lid, and drip tray in warm soapy water. Monthly: Clean water reservoir and brew basket.

  1. Unplug brewer and allow to cool.
  2. Remove and wash all removable parts.
  3. Wipe brew head with damp cloth; do not immerse.
  4. Run a water-only brew cycle to rinse internal lines.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners or immerse brewer in water. Unplug before cleaning.

Descaling

Descale when indicator light comes on or every 3-6 months to remove mineral buildup.

  1. Fill reservoir with descaling solution or white vinegar/water mix.
  2. Enter Descaling Mode via MENU settings.
  3. Run multiple brew cycles without K-Cup or grounds until reservoir is empty.
  4. Rinse thoroughly by running 2-3 reservoirs of fresh water through brewer.

CAUTION! Follow descaling instructions carefully. Ensure proper rinsing to remove all solution.

Troubleshooting
