Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a clean, level, stable surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the brewer and carafe.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and reusable filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Place the drip tray in position. Insert the water reservoir into the back of the brewer.
  4. Fill the reservoir with fresh, cold water. Plug the power cord into a 120V outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the brewer is on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep away from water sources and do not immerse in liquid.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewer before first use to clear the internal lines of air and manufacturing residues.

  1. Ensure the brewer is plugged in and the reservoir is filled.
  2. Place a large mug (at least 10oz) on the drip tray. Do not insert a K-Cup pod.
  3. Press the POWER button. Wait for the READY light to illuminate.
  4. Select the 12oz brew size and press BREW. Discard the first full reservoir of water.
  5. Repeat the priming process once more with fresh water.

CAUTION! The exterior surfaces may become hot during use. Use handles when moving the carafe.

Control Panel: POWER, STRENGTH, HOT WATER, PROGRAM, BREW, and brew size buttons (6oz, 8oz, 10oz, 12oz, CARAFE).

Single-Serve Mode: Use with K-Cup pod. Select brew size (6-12oz). Press BREW.

Brewing Modes

Brewing a K-Cup Pod (Single-Serve):

  1. Lift and lower the brew handle to open the K-Cup holder.
  2. Place a K-Cup pod in the holder. Close the handle firmly.
  3. Place your mug on the drip tray.
  4. Select your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, or 12oz).
  5. Press the BREW button. The brew cycle will begin.

Brewing Ground Coffee (Carafe):

  1. Remove the K-Cup pod holder and insert the reusable gold-tone filter basket.
  2. Add desired amount of ground coffee (1 tbsp per cup recommended).
  3. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  4. Select CARAFE, then use +/- to select cup amount (2-12).
  5. Press STRENGTH for bold, if desired. Press BREW.

Using the Carafe

The glass carafe is designed for use only with the included warming plate.

  1. Always use the lid when brewing and serving.
  2. Do not place carafe on a stove top or direct heat source.
  3. To pour, hold the carafe by the handle and press the lid release button with your thumb.
  4. The warming plate will keep coffee hot for up to 2 hours after brewing.
  5. For best flavor, serve coffee immediately and do not reheat in the carafe.

Tip: To avoid thermal shock, do not add cold liquid to a hot carafe or place a hot carafe on a cold surface.

Maintenance & Descaling

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and coffee flavor.

Daily: Empty and rinse the water reservoir. Wipe exterior with a damp cloth.
Weekly: Wash the carafe, lid, and reusable filter basket with warm, soapy water.
Monthly: Run a water-only brew cycle (without coffee) to flush the system.
Descaling: Required every 3-6 months or when DESCALE light illuminates.

  1. Fill reservoir with 16oz white vinegar and 16oz water.
  2. Place a large carafe or bowl on the drip tray.
  3. Press POWER, then press and hold HOT WATER and 12oz buttons for 3 seconds to start descale mode.
  4. Press BREW to start cycle. Repeat until ADD WATER light comes on.
  5. Rinse thoroughly by brewing multiple cycles with fresh water only.

CAUTION! Use only Keurig descaling solution or white vinegar. Do not use harsh chemicals.

Troubleshooting
