Unpacking & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on a stable, level surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the brewer.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and water reservoir with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the reservoir (soak filter first for 5 minutes).
  4. Fill the reservoir with fresh water and place it onto the brewer.
  5. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the brewer is on a heat-resistant surface away from edges. Keep cord away from hot surfaces.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewer before first brew to remove any internal residues.

  1. Ensure the carafe is empty and placed on the warming plate.
  2. Press the POWER button to turn on the brewer.
  3. Without a K-Cup pod, place a mug on the drip tray and lower the handle.
  4. Select the largest cup size (12 oz) and press BREW. Discard this water.
  5. Repeat this process 2-3 times for the carafe side: select CARAFE and press BREW, discarding water each time.

CAUTION! The warming plate and carafe will become hot during use. Handle with care.

Controls and Settings

Control Panel: POWER, CARAFE, CUP (6, 8, 10, 12 oz), STRENGTH (Bold/Regular), PROGRAM, AUTO OFF.

LCD Display: Shows clock, brew size, strength, descale alert, and programming mode.

Settings: Program clock via PROGRAM button. Set auto-brew time for carafe (press PROGRAM, then use HOUR/MIN). Select brew strength for carafe (Bold for stronger coffee). Enable/disable auto-off (press and hold AUTO OFF for 3 seconds).

Brewing with K-Cup Pods

Brew a single cup using any K-Cup pod.

  1. Press POWER to turn on. Ensure a mug is placed on the drip tray.
  2. Lift and lower the handle to open the K-Cup pod holder.
  3. Insert a K-Cup pod. Close the handle firmly.
  4. Select your desired cup size (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz) by pressing the CUP button.
  5. Press BREW. Brewing will complete in under a minute.
  6. After brewing, lift the handle to eject the used pod into the storage compartment.

Tip: For stronger single-serve coffee, select a smaller cup size.

Brewing a Carafe

Brew a full carafe of coffee using ground coffee.

  1. Press POWER. Ensure the empty carafe is on the warming plate.
  2. Press CARAFE button. Select brew strength (Bold or Regular) if desired.
  3. Remove the water reservoir and fill to desired carafe level (marked on side).
  4. Open the carafe brew lid. Place a paper filter in the basket, then add ground coffee (1 tbsp per cup).
  5. Close the lid. Press BREW. The carafe will begin brewing immediately.
  6. When brewing is complete, the warming plate will keep coffee hot for up to 2 hours.

WARNING! Never brew a carafe without the carafe in place. Do not touch hot surfaces.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Do not immerse the brewer in water. Use only mild detergents.

Descaling Process

Mineral buildup can affect performance. Descale every 3-6 months or when the DESCALE light turns on.

  1. Empty the water reservoir and carafe.
  2. Fill the reservoir with 16 oz of white vinegar and 16 oz of water.
  3. Place a large mug on the drip tray. Without a K-Cup pod, select the 12 oz cup size and brew into the mug. Discard the liquid.
  4. Repeat step 3 until the ADD WATER light comes on.
  5. Refill the reservoir with fresh water only. Brew and discard multiple 12 oz cycles until the vinegar smell is gone.
  6. The descale process is complete. The DESCALE light will turn off.

Troubleshooting
