Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on a clean, flat, stable surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the brewer and carafe.
  2. Wash the carafe, lid, and ground coffee filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Place the drip tray in position. Insert the water reservoir into the back of the brewer.
  4. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
  5. Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure the brewer is on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep away from water sources and do not immerse in liquid.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewing system before first use.

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled and the carafe is in place on the warming plate.
  2. Press the POWER button to turn the brewer on. The lights will illuminate.
  3. Without a K-Cup pod, lift and close the brew head. Place a large mug (at least 12 oz) on the drip tray.
  4. Select the 12 oz brew size button and press BREW. This will run water through the system to prime it. Discard this water.
  5. Repeat this priming process 2-3 times with fresh water until the tank is empty. Refill the reservoir.
  6. The brewer is now ready for normal use.

CAUTION! The warming plate and brewed coffee will be hot. Handle carafe with care using the handle.

Controls and Functions

Control Panel: POWER, STRONG, PROGRAM, CARAFE, 6oz, 8oz, 10oz, 12oz buttons, and Descale Light.

Power Button: Turns brewer on/off. Strong Button: Activates Strong Brew for richer coffee (light turns on). Program Button: Used with CARAFE button to set delayed brew time. Carafe Button: Selects carafe brewing mode. Brew Size Buttons (6-12oz): Select single-serve cup size.

Indicator Lights: Buttons light up when selected. The DESCALE light will illuminate when mineral buildup requires cleaning.

Brewing with K-Cup Pods (Single-Serve)

  1. Press POWER to turn brewer on. Ensure water reservoir is filled.
  2. Lift the brew head. Place a K-Cup pod in the pod holder. Close the brew head firmly.
  3. Place a mug (minimum size of selected brew) on the drip tray.
  4. Select your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz). The button will light up.
  5. (Optional) Press STRONG for a bolder cup. The STRONG light will turn on.
  6. Press the illuminated brew size button again to start brewing.
  7. Brewing will complete automatically. Enjoy your coffee.

Tip: For best results, use fresh, cold water. Rinse the pod holder periodically.

Brewing a Carafe

You can brew a carafe using ground coffee or multiple K-Cup pods.

With Ground Coffee:

  1. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate. Insert the ground coffee filter basket into the brew basket.
  2. Add the desired amount of ground coffee (1 tbsp per cup is standard). Do not use paper filters.
  3. Close the brew basket lid. Press POWER, then press the CARAFE button. The CARAFE light will blink.
  4. Select the number of cups (2-12) by pressing the CARAFE button repeatedly. The light will show the selected size.
  5. (Optional) Press STRONG for a stronger carafe.
  6. Press and hold the CARAFE button for 3 seconds to start brewing. The carafe will begin to fill.

Programmable Delay Brew: After step 4, press PROGRAM. Use the 6oz/12oz buttons to set hours/minutes for brew time. Press and hold CARAFE for 3 seconds to set. The PROGRAM light will stay on.

WARNING! Never brew a carafe without the carafe in place on the warming plate.

Care & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste.

CAUTION! Unplug brewer before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the brewer base, cord, or plug in water.

Descaling

Mineral buildup from water affects performance and taste. The DESCALE light will illuminate when necessary.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with 16 oz of white vinegar and 48 oz of fresh water.
  2. Place a large carafe or container (at least 12 cups) on the warming plate.
  3. Press POWER, then press and hold the 6oz and 12oz buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to start the descale cycle.
  4. The brewer will run the solution through in intervals. It may take 30-45 minutes. Empty the container as needed.
  5. When the cycle is complete, discard the vinegar solution. Rinse the water reservoir thoroughly.
  6. Refill the reservoir with fresh water. Run multiple 12-oz brew cycles (without a K-Cup) until the vinegar smell is gone.
  7. The DESCALE light will turn off.
