Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Place on a clean, level, heat-resistant surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from brewer and carafe.
  2. Wash carafe, lid, and reusable filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Fill water reservoir with fresh water and place back into brewer.
  4. Plug power cord into a grounded 120V outlet.

WARNING! Ensure brewer is on a stable surface. Keep away from children and heat sources. Do not use carafe if cracked or chipped.

First-Time Use

Prime the system before first brew to remove any manufacturing residues.

  1. With water reservoir filled, place a large mug on the drip tray.
  2. Lift and close the brewer handle without inserting a K-Cup pod.
  3. Press the POWER button. Select the largest cup size (12 oz) and press BREW.
  4. Allow the full water reservoir to run through the system. Discard this water.
  5. Repeat this priming process 2-3 times with fresh water.

CAUTION! The brewer and water will become hot during priming. Do not touch hot surfaces.

Controls and Settings

Control Panel: POWER button, Carafe/Cup Selector, Brew Size buttons (6, 8, 10, 12 oz), STRENGTH button (for carafe), PROGRAM button, DESCALE light.

Basic Operations: Press POWER to turn on. Select CUP or CARAFE. For cup, choose brew size. For carafe, select STRENGTH (Bold or Regular). Press BREW to start.

Programming Carafe: Press and hold PROGRAM. Use HOUR and MIN buttons to set desired brew time. Press PROGRAM again to confirm. The clock icon will illuminate.

Auto-Off: Brewer turns off automatically 2 hours after last brew.

Brewing with K-Cup Pods

For brewing a single cup using a K-Cup pod.

  1. Press POWER. Ensure CUP is selected (light on).
  2. Lift the handle and insert a K-Cup pod. Close the handle firmly.
  3. Place a mug (min. 5 oz) on the drip tray.
  4. Select your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz). The button will light up.
  5. Press the illuminated BREW button. Brewing will begin and complete automatically.
  6. After brewing, lift handle to eject the used pod into the storage compartment.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use the STRENGTH setting in carafe mode or choose a darker roast K-Cup pod.

Brewing a Carafe

For brewing a full carafe using ground coffee.

  1. Press POWER. Select CARAFE (light on).
  2. Remove the water reservoir and fill with fresh water to desired carafe level (4-12 cups). Replace.
  3. Place the reusable filter into the filter basket inside the carafe brew chamber.
  4. Add ground coffee (1 tbsp per cup). Do not exceed 12 tablespoons.
  5. Place the empty glass carafe on the warming plate.
  6. Press STRENGTH to select Bold or Regular.
  7. Press BREW. The carafe icon will flash during brewing.
  8. When brewing is complete, the carafe will remain on the warming plate for up to 2 hours.

WARNING! Never brew a carafe without the carafe in place. Never place carafe on warming plate if empty.

Care & Cleaning

Daily: Wipe exterior with a damp cloth. Empty drip tray and used pod holder. Weekly: Wash removable parts (water reservoir, carafe, lid, filter) with warm, soapy water.

Monthly Deep Clean: Run a cleansing brew cycle with a Keurig Descaling Solution or white vinegar mixture (see Descaling section).

CAUTION! Unplug brewer before cleaning. Do not immerse brewer, cord, or base in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Descaling Process

Descale every 3-6 months or when DESCALE light turns on. Use Keurig Descaling Solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water.

  1. Empty water reservoir. Fill with descaling solution or a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and fresh water.
  2. Place a large mug on the drip tray. Lift and close handle without a K-Cup.
  3. Press POWER. Select the largest cup size (12 oz). Press BREW. Repeat until "Add Water" message appears.
  4. Discard the collected liquid. Rinse reservoir thoroughly and refill with fresh water.
  5. Repeat step 3 with fresh water only, running multiple cycles until reservoir is empty, to rinse the system.
  6. The descale light will turn off after process is complete.

Troubleshooting
