Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, level, stable surface away from edges and heat sources.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from brewer and carafe.
  2. Wash carafe and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Place water reservoir into back of brewer, ensuring it clicks into place.
  4. Fill reservoir with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed MAX fill line.
  5. Plug power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure brewer is on a heat-resistant surface. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

First-Time Setup

Power on brewer; follow priming and programming steps.

  1. Prime the brewer: Place a large mug on drip tray. Lift and close brew head without a pod. Press POWER, then press BREW. Run water through until reservoir is empty. Refill.
  2. Set the clock: Press and hold PROGRAM button. Use HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set time. Press PROGRAM to confirm.
  3. Program carafe brew (optional): Press PROGRAM, then use HOUR/MINUTE to set desired brew time. Press BREW to confirm.
  4. Select brew size: For single-serve, press 6oz, 8oz, or 10oz button before brewing.

CAUTION! Do not use without priming. First few brews may be inconsistent.

Brewing Coffee

Single-Serve with K-Cup Pod:

  1. Press POWER. Place mug on drip tray.
  2. Lift brew head, insert K-Cup pod, close brew head firmly.
  3. Select cup size (6oz, 8oz, 10oz). Press BREW.

Brewing a Carafe with Ground Coffee:

  1. Press POWER. Ensure carafe is in place and lid is on.
  2. Fill reusable My K-Cup filter with desired amount of ground coffee (up to 12 Tbsp). Place filter in brew head.
  3. Select STRENGTH (regular or strong). Press BREW. Brewing begins immediately or at programmed time.

Tip: For best results, use fresh, cold water and recommended grind size for carafe.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Unplug brewer and allow to cool before cleaning.

  1. External Cleaning: Wipe exterior with damp, soft cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Drip Tray & Plate: Remove and wash with warm, soapy water weekly.
  3. Water Reservoir: Remove and wash weekly. Dry before replacing.
  4. Brew Head: Wipe with damp cloth. Check needle for clogs monthly.
  5. Carafe & Lid: Hand wash only. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Do not use harsh chemicals, steel wool, or abrasive pads.

Descaling

Descale every 3-6 months or when "Descale" light appears.

  1. Fill reservoir with 16 oz white vinegar and 16 oz water.
  2. Place a large mug or carafe on drip tray.
  3. Press POWER. Lift and close brew head (no pod).
  4. Press and hold 8oz and 10oz buttons for 3 seconds to start descale mode.
  5. Press BREW. Dispense half the solution, then pause 30 minutes.
  6. Dispense remaining solution. Discard liquid.
  7. Rinse reservoir thoroughly. Fill with fresh water and run multiple brew cycles (no pod) until vinegar smell is gone.

WARNING! Use only Keurig descaling solution or white vinegar. Never use descaling tablets.
