Unpacking and Setup

Remove all packaging materials and inspect contents.

  1. Place brewer on stable, level surface away from heat sources.
  2. Remove water reservoir and rinse with clean water.
  3. Fill reservoir with fresh cold water and reattach to brewer.
  4. Plug power cord into 120V AC outlet.
  5. Prime the system by running water-only brew cycles (see First-Time Use).

WARNING! Do not use hot water in reservoir. Ensure brewer is unplugged during cleaning.

First-Time Use

Power on brewer; follow priming procedure.

  1. Press power button to turn on brewer.
  2. Wait for "Add Water" light to turn off (approximately 3 minutes).
  3. Lift and close handle without K-Cup pod.
  4. Place mug on drip tray.
  5. Select largest brew size and press brew button.
  6. Repeat water-only brewing 3-4 times to prime system.
  7. Insert K-Cup pod and brew first cup of coffee.

CAUTION! First few brews may produce unusual taste - this is normal during priming.

Brewing Coffee

Using K-Cup pods for single-serve brewing.

  1. Ensure brewer is powered on and ready light is solid blue.
  2. Lift handle and insert K-Cup pod into holder.
  3. Close handle firmly until it clicks.
  4. Place mug on drip tray (remove drip tray for travel mugs).
  5. Select desired brew size (6oz, 8oz, or 10oz).
  6. Press brew button - brewing begins immediately.
  7. For stronger coffee, press Bold button before brewing.
  8. Remove mug when brewing completes.
  9. Discard used K-Cup pod after each brew.

Tip: Preheat mug with hot water for optimal temperature retention.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth. Weekly: Clean water reservoir and drip tray.

  1. Unplug brewer before cleaning.
  2. Remove and wash water reservoir with mild detergent.
  3. Clean drip tray and removable parts in warm soapy water.
  4. Wipe brewing chamber with damp cloth.
  5. Run water-only brew cycle monthly to flush system.
  6. Replace water filter every 2 months or 60 tank refills.

CAUTION! Never immerse brewer in water. Use only Keurig descaling solution.

Descaling Procedure

Required every 3-6 months depending on water hardness.

  1. Empty water reservoir and fill with 48oz descaling solution.
  2. Place large container (at least 48oz) on drip tray.
  3. Press and hold 10oz and Bold buttons for 3 seconds to enter descale mode.
  4. Press brew button to begin descaling cycle.
  5. Repeat brew cycles until "Add Water" light illuminates.
  6. Rinse reservoir thoroughly and fill with fresh water.
  7. Run multiple water-only brew cycles to rinse system.
  8. Exit descale mode by pressing power button.

WARNING! Do not use vinegar or other cleaning solutions - use only Keurig descaling solution.
