Initial Setup & Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, level, stable surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the brewer and water reservoir.
  2. Wash the water reservoir with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry.
  3. Fill the reservoir with fresh, cold water and place it securely on the back of the brewer.
  4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  5. The brewer will power on. The display will show "ADD WATER" if the reservoir is empty.

WARNING! Do not use without water. Ensure the brewer is on a heat-resistant surface away from sinks or appliances.

First Brew & Programming

Prime the brewer before first use.

  1. Lift and close the handle (without a K-Cup) to run water through the system. Discard this water.
  2. Insert a licensed K-Cup 2.0 pod. The display will show the default brew size (e.g., 8 oz).
  3. Press the desired brew size button (4, 6, 8, 10 oz) to start brewing.
  4. To program a favorite brew size: Press and hold a brew size button for 3 seconds until the light flashes. The brewer will now default to that size.
  5. For Strong brew: Press the STRENGTH button before brewing for a more intense flavor.

CAUTION! The exit needle and brewed liquid will be very hot. Keep hands and face clear.

Access functions via the Digital Control Panel.

Buttons: POWER, 4 oz, 6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz, STRENGTH, HOT WATER, MENU.

Display Icons: Brew size, Strength, Auto Off, Descaling, Add Water, Ready.

Menu Settings: Press MENU to access:
- Auto Off: Set to 2 hrs (default) or disable.
- High Altitude: Enable if above 3,000 ft.
- Factory Reset: Restores all default settings.
- Descaling Mode: Initiates cleaning cycle.

Using K-Cup Pods

Only use licensed K-Cup 2.0 pods. The DRM scanner will reject unlicensed pods.

  1. Lift the handle to open the pod holder.
  2. Place a K-Cup in the holder, ensuring it sits flat.
  3. Close the handle firmly until it clicks. The display will show "READY".
  4. Place a mug (min 5 oz) on the drip tray.
  5. Select your brew size. The brewer will pierce the pod and begin brewing.
  6. After brewing, lift the handle to eject the used pod into the storage bin.

Tip: For best results, use filtered water and brew immediately after inserting the pod.

Maintenance & Descaling

Regular descaling is essential for performance and longevity.

  1. The "DESCALE" light will illuminate when required (approx. every 3-6 months).
  2. Empty the water reservoir and fill with fresh descaling solution or white vinegar mixture.
  3. Place a large mug (at least 20 oz) on the drip tray.
  4. Enter Descaling Mode: Press MENU, navigate to DESCALE, and press SELECT.
  5. The brewer will run multiple cycles. Follow on-display prompts to rinse with fresh water.
  6. After rinsing, the descale light will turn off.

WARNING! Use only Keurig Descaling Solution or a vinegar/water mix. Do not use harsh chemicals.

Reusable My K-Cup Filter

For use with your own ground coffee.

  1. Purchase the Keurig My K-Cup reusable filter accessory separately.
  2. Fill the filter with fine to medium ground coffee (do not overfill).
  3. Insert the My K-Cup into the pod holder as you would a regular K-Cup.
  4. Close the handle and select your brew size. Brewing will commence.
  5. Clean the filter thoroughly after each use.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the brewer before cleaning. Wipe exterior with a damp, soft cloth. Do not immerse in water.

Weekly: Remove and wash the drip tray, pod holder, and water reservoir in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before reassembly.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals on any part of the brewer.

Troubleshooting
