Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials from inside and outside brewer.
  2. Wash removable parts: Rinse water reservoir and drip tray with warm water.
  3. Fill reservoir: Lift reservoir, fill with fresh cold water, replace securely.
  4. Plug into 120V AC outlet.
  5. Prime brewer: Follow first-time use instructions.

WARNING! Place away from edges and heat sources. Ensure power cord is not pinched.

First-Time Use

Power on brewer; prime system before first brew.

  1. Fill reservoir with cold water to MAX line.
  2. Place a large mug on drip tray.
  3. Turn brewer ON (power button will illuminate).
  4. Without a K-Cup pod, lift and close brew handle to open water flow path.
  5. Press 10 oz brew button to run water through system. Repeat 2-3 times.
  6. Brewer is now ready for use with K-Cup pods.

CAUTION! Do not use without water. Heating element can be damaged.

Controls and Settings

Front Panel: POWER button, 6 oz button, 8 oz button, 10 oz button, Descale indicator light.

Operation: Press POWER to turn on (light illuminates). Select cup size before or after inserting pod. Brewer will heat, pierce pod, and brew automatically.

Settings: Cup size can be reprogrammed (see manual). Auto-off cannot be disabled. Descale indicator lights when mineral buildup requires cleaning.

Brewing Coffee

Brews single servings using K-Cup pods.

  1. Ensure brewer is ON and water reservoir is filled.
  2. Place mug on drip tray.
  3. Lift brew handle, insert K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  4. Select desired cup size (6, 8, or 10 oz).
  5. Brewing begins automatically; completes in under 1 minute.
  6. After brewing, lift handle to eject used pod into storage compartment.
  7. For another cup, repeat steps.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use smaller cup size setting. Preheat mug with hot water.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth.
  2. Weekly: Remove and wash drip tray and reservoir in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Monthly: Clean needle that pierces K-Cup (use paperclip when brewer is unplugged).
  4. As needed: Descale when indicator lights (see Descaling section).

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Do not immerse brewer in water.

Descaling Procedure

Required periodically to remove mineral deposits.

  1. Purchase Keurig descaling solution or use vinegar mixture (manual specifies).
  2. Fill reservoir with descaling solution or 50/50 white vinegar and water.
  3. Place large mug on drip tray.
  4. Turn brewer ON.
  5. Lift and close brew handle (no pod). Press 10 oz button repeatedly until reservoir is empty.
  6. Turn brewer OFF and let solution sit in system for 30 minutes.
  7. Rinse thoroughly: Fill reservoir with fresh water, repeat brewing cycle 5-6 times.
  8. Descale indicator will turn off after process.
