Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, level, heat-resistant surface.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers.
  2. Wash removable parts: reservoir, drip tray, and K-Cup holder with warm, soapy water.
  3. Place drip tray in position.
  4. Fill water reservoir with fresh cold water and reattach.
  5. Plug power cord into 120V outlet.

WARNING! Ensure brewer is unplugged during cleaning. Keep away from edges to prevent tipping.

First-Time Use

Prime the system before first brew.

  1. Plug in brewer; power button will illuminate.
  2. Press POWER to turn on; wait for ready light.
  3. Without a K-Cup, place a mug on drip tray.
  4. Select largest brew size (10oz) and start cycle to flush system.
  5. Repeat flushing cycle twice with fresh water.
  6. Brewer is now ready for use with K-Cup pods.

CAUTION! Do not use without water. Ensure reservoir is properly seated.

Controls and Settings

Front Panel: POWER button, Brew size buttons (6oz, 8oz, 10oz), Add Descaling light.

Operation: Press POWER to turn on (light solid). When ready light is steady, select brew size. Brewer will heat, pierce pod, and brew automatically.

Settings: Auto-off cannot be disabled. Brew size can be changed during pre-heat. Descaling light illuminates when maintenance is required.

Brewing Coffee

Follow these steps for optimal coffee.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and ready light is steady.
  2. Lift handle, insert K-Cup pod, close handle firmly.
  3. Place mug (up to 7.2" tall) on drip tray.
  4. Press desired brew size button.
  5. Brewing begins; cycle completes automatically.
  6. Remove mug; brewer is ready for next pod.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use smaller brew size. Use fresh, cold water for best taste.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth.
  2. Weekly: Remove and wash reservoir, drip tray, and K-Cup holder in warm, soapy water.
  3. Monthly: Clean needle that pierces K-Cup with paperclip (unplug first).
  4. As needed: Descale when indicator light comes on.

CAUTION! Unplug before cleaning. Do not immerse brewer in water. Use only mild detergents.

Descaling

Mineral buildup affects performance. Descaling light will illuminate when needed.

  1. Purchase Keurig Descaling Solution or use vinegar mixture (1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water).
  2. Fill reservoir with descaling solution.
  3. Run brew cycles without a K-Cup until reservoir is empty.
  4. Rinse thoroughly by running multiple cycles with fresh water.
  5. Descaling light will turn off after process.

WARNING! Follow solution instructions carefully. Rinse thoroughly to avoid vinegar taste.
