Initial Setup Steps

  1. Unpack and Place: Remove all packaging materials and place your Keurig on a clean, level, stable surface away from heat sources and water.
  2. Wash Removable Parts: Wash the water reservoir, drip tray, and K-Cup holder with warm, soapy water, then rinse thoroughly.
  3. Install Water Filter: Soak the charcoal water filter for 5 minutes, then insert it into the filter handle and install in the water reservoir.
  4. Fill Water Reservoir: Fill the reservoir with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
  5. Power On: Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V outlet. The brewer will power on automatically.
  6. Prime the System: Run a cleansing brew cycle without a K-Cup pod to flush the system. Discard the water.
  7. Brew First Cup: Insert a K-Cup pod, select your cup size, and brew your first cup of coffee.
Important: Always use the Keurig descaling solution or approved descaling agents to maintain your brewer. Vinegar or other solutions may damage the internal components.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Brewer won't turn on Power issue, not plugged in properly Check power outlet, ensure cord is securely connected

Common Error Codes

  • ADD WATER: Water reservoir is empty or not properly seated
  • DESCALE: Mineral buildup detected - run descaling cycle
  • PRIME: Brewer needs priming - run water through without K-Cup
  • CLOGGED: Needle or exit tube is clogged - clean with provided tool
  • OVERHEAT: Brewer has overheated - unplug and let cool for 30 minutes
  • OCCUPIED: K-Cup pod already used - insert fresh pod
