Single Serve & Multi-Cup Models

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Clean cloth
  • Measuring cup
  • Filtered water
  • Keurig® descaling solution
  • Paper towels

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Unpack and Place: Remove all packaging materials and place your Keurig® brewer on a flat, stable surface away from heat sources and water.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Never immerse the brewer in water or other liquids.
  3. Water Reservoir: Fill the removable water reservoir with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord directly into a grounded 120V electrical outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  5. Prime the Brewer: Turn on the brewer and run a cleansing brew cycle without a K-Cup® pod to flush the system.
  6. First Brew: Insert a K-Cup® pod, place your mug on the drip tray, and select your desired cup size to brew your first beverage.
  7. Descaling Setup: Program your first descaling reminder for 3-6 months based on your water hardness and usage frequency.
Warning: For first-time use, always run multiple water-only brew cycles to ensure optimal performance and remove any manufacturing residues.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Brewer won't turn on Power issue, outlet not working Check power cord connection, try different outlet, ensure power switch is on
No water flow Empty reservoir, clogged needle, air lock Refill water reservoir, clean exit needle, run water-only cycles

Error Messages

  • Add Water: Water reservoir is empty or not properly seated

  • Clogged: Exit needle clogged - turn off and clean needle
