Unpacking & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a clean, level, stable surface away from edges.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the brewer.
  2. Wash the water reservoir and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Insert the charcoal water filter into the reservoir following the included instructions.
  4. Fill the reservoir with fresh cold water and place it onto the brewer.
  5. Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not use without water in the reservoir. Ensure the brewer is on a heat-resistant surface away from sinks or appliances.

First-Time Use

Power on the brewer; the display will illuminate. Follow these steps to prime the system.

  1. Press the POWER button. The brewer will begin heating.
  2. Lift and close the brewer handle without a K-Cup pod to run a water-only brew cycle.
  3. Place a large mug (at least 10 oz) on the drip tray.
  4. Press the 10 oz brew button. The brewer will dispense hot water to flush the system.
  5. Repeat this process 2-3 times with fresh water to ensure optimal performance.

CAUTION! The dispensed water will be very hot. Keep hands and face clear during priming.

Programming Auto On/Off: Press PROG, use arrows to set time, select ON or OFF, press PROG to confirm.

Setting the Clock: Press and hold HOUR and MINUTE buttons simultaneously, then adjust using the brew size buttons.

Brew Strength Control: Press the STRENGTH button before brewing to select Regular or Bold.

Energy Saver Mode: Enabled by default; brewer enters standby after 2 hours. Press any button to wake.

Brewing Coffee

Brews a perfect single cup in under a minute.

  1. Ensure the brewer is powered on and the reservoir is filled.
  2. Lift the handle and insert a K-Cup pod into the K-Cup holder.
  3. Close the handle firmly.
  4. Place your mug on the drip tray.
  5. Select your desired brew size (6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz). For stronger coffee, press STRENGTH first.
  6. The brew cycle will begin automatically. The progress bar will illuminate during brewing.
  7. When brewing is complete, lift the handle to eject the used K-Cup pod.

Tip: For hot water (for tea, cocoa, etc.), place a mug and press the HOT WATER button. No pod is needed.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with a damp cloth. Empty and rinse the drip tray and water reservoir.
  2. Weekly: Remove the K-Cup holder assembly and rinse under warm water. Clean the exit needle with a paperclip if clogged.
  3. Monthly: Replace the charcoal water filter (every 2 months or 60 tank refills).
  4. As Needed: Descale when the DESCALE light illuminates (see next section).

CAUTION! Unplug the brewer before cleaning any internal parts. Never immerse the brewer base in water.

Descaling Procedure

Mineral buildup from water can affect performance. The DESCALE light will indicate when needed.

  1. Purchase Keurig Descaling Solution or use a vinegar-water mix (1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water).
  2. Fill the empty water reservoir with the descaling solution.
  3. Place a large mug (at least 10 oz) on the drip tray.
  4. Press POWER, then press and hold the 10 oz and 8 oz brew buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter descale mode.
  5. Press the 10 oz brew button to start the descaling cycle. The brewer will dispense solution in pulses.
  6. When the reservoir is empty, refill with fresh water and run multiple 10 oz water-only brew cycles to rinse thoroughly (at least 12 cycles).
  7. The descale light will turn off when the process is complete.

WARNING! Do not use descaling solutions not approved for Keurig brewers. Rinse thoroughly to remove all solution taste.

Troubleshooting
