Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place brewer on a stable, level surface away from heat sources and water splashes.

  1. Remove all packaging materials from inside and outside the brewer.
  2. Wash the removable water reservoir and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Place drip tray in position. For tall travel mugs, remove the drip tray cover.
  4. Insert the water reservoir into the back of the brewer until it clicks into place.
  5. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not use the brewer without water in the reservoir. Ensure the brewer is unplugged during cleaning.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewing system before first use to ensure optimal performance.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the MAX fill line.
  2. Place a large mug (at least 10 oz) on the drip tray.
  3. Plug in the brewer. The power button will flash blue.
  4. Press the POWER button. The brewer will begin heating (approx. 4 minutes).
  5. When the READY light illuminates, lift and close the handle (without a K-Cup® pod) and press the BREW button to run water through the system. Discard this water.
  6. Repeat the priming cycle once more. The brewer is now ready for use.

CAUTION! The exterior surfaces may become hot during operation. Keep hands and cords clear.

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: POWER button, BREW button, Brew Size Selector (6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz), Water Level Indicator (blue LEDs), Add Water Indicator (flashing blue), Descale Indicator (red).

Operation: Press POWER to turn on (heating begins). READY light illuminates when heating is complete. Select brew size. Lift handle, insert K-Cup® pod, close handle firmly. Place cup on drip tray. Press BREW. Cycle completes in under 1 minute.

Auto On/Off Programming: Press and hold the 6 oz and 10 oz brew buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. Use brew size buttons to set auto-on time (0-24 hrs). Press BREW to confirm. Repeat for auto-off time.

Brewing Instructions

For optimal coffee, tea, or hot cocoa brewing.

  1. Ensure brewer is on and READY light is illuminated.
  2. Fill water reservoir with fresh, cold water.
  3. Select desired brew size (6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz) using the selector buttons.
  4. Lift the handle to open the K-Cup® pod holder.
  5. Insert a genuine K-Cup® pod. Close the handle firmly.
  6. Place an appropriate-sized cup on the drip tray.
  7. Press the BREW button. The brewing cycle will start immediately.
  8. When cycle finishes, lift handle to eject the used K-Cup® pod.

Tip: For stronger coffee, select a smaller brew size. Pre-warm your mug by running a hot water cycle first.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures best performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with a damp cloth. Empty and rinse drip tray and reservoir.
  2. Weekly: Remove and wash the K-Cup® pod holder assembly in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Monthly: Run a vinegar solution or Keurig Descaling Solution through the brewer (see Descaling Procedure).
  4. As Needed: Clean the exit needle with a paperclip if clogged (unplug brewer first).

WARNING! Never immerse the brewer base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.

Descaling Procedure

Descale when the DESCALING light turns red (approx. every 3-6 months).

  1. Empty water reservoir. Fill with Keurig Descaling Solution or a mixture of 16 oz white vinegar and 16 oz water.
  2. Place a large mug (at least 20 oz) on the drip tray.
  3. Power on the brewer. Lift and close handle (no pod).
  4. Press and hold the 8 oz and 10 oz brew buttons for 3 seconds to enter descale mode.
  5. Press BREW to start descaling cycle. Repeat until ADD WATER light flashes.
  6. Discard liquid in mug. Rinse reservoir thoroughly and refill with fresh water.
  7. Repeat brewing cycles with fresh water only (no pod) until reservoir is empty to rinse system.
  8. The descale light will turn off when process is complete.

CAUTION! Use only approved descaling solutions. Vinegar may leave a temporary odor.

Troubleshooting
