Unpacking and Setup

Remove all packaging materials. Place brewer on a stable, level, and dry countertop away from heat sources and sinks.

  1. Remove protective tape and stickers from brewer and water reservoir.
  2. Wash the water reservoir with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry.
  3. Insert the water reservoir into the back of the brewer until it clicks into place.
  4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Do not use without water. Ensure drip tray and reservoir are properly installed before first use.

First-Time Use

Prime the brewing system before first brew.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the MAX fill line.
  2. Place a large mug (min. 10 oz.) on the drip tray.
  3. Lift and close the brewer handle without inserting a pod.
  4. Select the 12 oz. brew size and press BREW. The brewer will run water through the system. Discard this water.
  5. Repeat this priming process 2 more times. The brewer is now ready for use.

CAUTION! The first few brews may be hot. Handle with care.

Controls and Display

Access functions via touch buttons and digital display. Power Button: Turns brewer on/off. Brew Size Buttons: Select cup or carafe size. Strong Button: Activates Strong Brew. Menu Button: Accesses settings (Auto-Off, Temperature, High Altitude).

Display Icons: Power, Heating, Ready, Add Water, Descaling Alert, Carafe Size, Cup Size.

Settings Menu: Auto-Off (2 hr or 5 min), Temperature Control (187°F - 192°F), High Altitude Setting (On/Off), Factory Reset.

Brewing Instructions

For K-Cup® Pods (Cup) and K-Carafe® Pods (Carafe).

  1. Ensure brewer is ON and READY light is illuminated.
  2. Place an appropriate mug or carafe on the drip tray.
  3. Lift the handle and insert a compatible pod. Close the handle firmly.
  4. For Cup: Select desired brew size (4-12 oz.). For Carafe: Select carafe size (22, 26, 30 oz.).
  5. (Optional) Press STRONG for a bolder brew.
  6. Press BREW. The brew will begin after a short heating period.
  7. When brewing is complete, lift the handle to eject the used pod.

Tip: Preheat your mug by running a water-only brew cycle into it first.

Maintenance & Descaling

Regular descaling is essential for performance and longevity.

  1. Descale Alert: When the DESCALE light illuminates, descaling is required.
  2. Purchase Keurig Descaling Solution or approved white vinegar.
  3. Fill the water reservoir with 16 oz. of descaling solution and 16 oz. of water.
  4. Place a large container (at least 32 oz.) on the drip tray.
  5. Run multiple brew cycles (without a pod) until the reservoir is empty.
  6. Refill the reservoir with fresh water and run several water-only brew cycles to rinse.
  7. Repeat rinsing until any solution/vinegar taste is gone.

WARNING! Never use descaling solutions other than those specified. Rinse thoroughly.

Customization Features

Adjustable Temperature: Access via MENU button to change brew temp (187°F - 192°F). Auto-Off: Set to 2 hours (default) or 5 minutes via MENU. High Altitude Setting: Enable in MENU if above 3,000 ft. Strong Brew: Increases brew time for stronger coffee.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug brewer before cleaning. Wipe exterior with a damp, soft cloth. Do not immerse in water.

Weekly: Remove and wash the drip tray and water reservoir in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Monthly: Clean the pod holder assembly (needle) with a paperclip to remove coffee grounds.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never put brewer base in dishwasher.

Troubleshooting
